Gran Turismo World Series 2024 Round 1 Begins in Montreal on July 6

The Gran Turismo World Series 2024 professional competition begins this week. Following the Online Qualifiers earlier this year, the world’s best Gran Turismo 7 players are gathering in Montreal for the first round of the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup.

As announced by PlayStation, 20 of the best Gran Turismo 7 racers are competing live in Montreal this week. As the first live event of the Gran Turismo World Series 2024 kicks off, fans will be able to watch live online and in person. Unfortunately, as the PlayStation Blog notes, tickets for the in-person event have sold out.

This is the first time the Gran Turismo World Series is taking place in Canada, sparking a special moment for Montreal fans. The event will take place at Usine-C, a cultural hub located in ‘The Village’ district.

Gran Turismo 7 fans will be able to see a sneak peek of the latest in-game update during the live stream. They’ll also be in-game opportunities to win prizes. A special Time Trial will also be available. By using the same car and track combinations of the Nations Cup, players can see how their skills match the pros. By watching the broadcast, players will unlock 6-Star Roulette Tickets via the Viewers Gift campaign.

Finally, players have the chance to win one million in-game credits for each of the Nations Cup and the Manufacturers Cup. By selecting the ‘Predict the Winners’ campaign banner on the GT7 World Map, players can cast their vote before the start of each final face.

Round 1 of the Gran Turismo World Series 2024 begins at 5 PM ET/2 AM PT, starting with the Manufacturers Cup.  The Nations Cup competition follows at 7:30 PM ET/ 4:30 PM PT. If you’re eager to tune in and watch, you can catch the live stream of the event via the Gran Turismo website, the official YouTube channel, and on Twitch.

Following the first round of the Gran Turismo World Series 2024, the live events then head to Prague, Czechia. Round 2 is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 10. The subsequent Round 3 will take place on Saturday, September 28th in Tokyo, Japan. It all leads to the World Finals, which hasn’t been given a date or location yet.
