Costco announced yesterday price increases are coming for its annual membership fees, affecting both Gold Star and Executive members.
There’s one way to beat the price increase as Costco has a promotion right now for those willing to enroll in automatic membership renewal. If you choose to do so using any Mastercard before July 26, 2024, you can get a $25 online voucher to use on Costco.ca.
Costco says automatic membership renewal offers peace of mind as it saves you the hassle of renewing at the till when you’re checking out, for example.
The offer is only good for those enrolling into automatic membership renewals for the first time. Vouchers will arrive in member email inboxes within 2-4 business days. The $25 voucher is only valid until September 1, 2024, and must be used in a single purchase over $25, excluding taxes, and when checking out with a Mastercard.
To enroll, members can sign in to their Costco.ca account, select “Renew Membership,” and follow the prompts to add their Mastercard details to set up automatic renewal. Alternatively, members can visit any Costco location in Canada and ask for assistance at the Membership Counter.
