Tesla has unveiled the Quicksilver paint option for its Model Y in Canada, offering its newest colour for Canadians, reports Tesla North.

Priced at $2,600 CAD, this new colour choice originates from vehicles manufactured at Giga Shanghai. This launch follows the addition of Quicksilver to the Model Y in the U.S. market back in May. In Canada, Quicksilver is priced similarly to Ultra Red.

While Quicksilver is yet to be offered for the Model 3 in Canada or the U.S., it recently became available for the Model 3 in Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. Given Tesla’s pattern of gradually introducing new features across its lineup, it is anticipated that Quicksilver will be available for the Model 3 in North America soon.

Tesla has made additional changes for the Canadian market. The 19-inch Dark Gemini wheel covers are now standard, replacing the Light Gemini covers, which are no longer available. Previously, in June, Tesla had introduced Dark Gemini wheel covers as an aftermarket option, priced at $60 CAD each.

Furthermore, Tesla has axed the 7-seater option for the Model Y in Canada. This move is likely part of Tesla’s strategy to streamline its production line and increase delivery capacity in the third and fourth quarters.

Tesla’s Model Y starts at $53,990 before provincial and federal rebates.
