OnePlus Unveils Pad 2 with Dolby Vision, Watch 2R, Nord Buds 3 Pro

OnePlus just held its Summer Launch Event, which took place in Milan, Italy. The company officially unveiled details about its Pad 2, Watch 2R and Nord Buds 3 Pro.
Pad 2 Tablet
OnePlus has unveiled its Pad 2 in North America, including Canada. This second-generation tablet features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform, a 12.1-inch 3K display, and six stereo speakers. At a media briefing, OnePlus emphasized productivity and entertainment as the priorities for Pad 2.
Accompanied by the OnePlus Stylo 2 and OnePlus Smart Keyboard, it offers a smooth workflow and immersive entertainment. “The OnePlus Pad 2 is built for unparalleled productivity, stress-free office work, and immersive multimedia experiences,” said Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus, in an issued statement to iPhone in Canada.

The OnePlus Pad 2, priced at $749.99 in Canada ($100 more than the original Pad, but with substantial upgrades), is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform, along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The tablet supports seamless app switching and fast NFC file transfer when paired with the OnePlus Smart Keyboard.
Its 12.1-inch display, with a 3K resolution (higher than even Apple’s iPad Pro) and Dolby Vision (900 nits max brightness; 301 ppi), provides vibrant visuals, while six speakers deliver hi-resolution spatial audio. OnePlus says this is the first Android tablet to have Dolby Vision and 3K resolution. The tablet also boasts a 9,510mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, ensuring long battery life and quick charging.

The Watch 2R carries forward the advanced features of the OnePlus Watch 2, including up to 100-hour battery life and Wear OS by Google (Wear OS 4). This is basically a more affordable version of the Watch 2, but in aluminum.
It is powered by a Dual-Engine Architecture with the Snapdragon W5 performance chipset and the BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset, allowing for efficient management of tasks and extended battery life. “The OnePlus Watch 2R is designed to bring the flagship smartwatch experience to more users, inspiring an active lifestyle,” said Justin Liu, General Manager of the Wearable Business Unit at OnePlus.
The OnePlus Watch 2R includes comprehensive fitness and wellness tracking with the upgraded OHealth app, offering over 100 sports tracking modes and advanced sleep analysis. It features dual-frequency GPS for accurate location tracking and 7.5W VOOC Fast Charging for quick power-ups.
The watch supports popular Google apps like Assistant, Maps, Wallet, and Calendar, and offers seamless connectivity with Fast Pair. Available in Forest Green and Gunmetal Gray, the OnePlus Watch 2R is priced at $299.99 CAD ($100 cheaper than the Watch 2) and will be available for purchase starting July 16 in Canada on OnePlus.com and Amazon.ca.
