Xbox and Marvel Studios Created an Ass-tonishing Deadpool Xbox Controller

Xbox has partnered with Marvel Studios to host a giveaway for a Deadpool and Wolverine-inspired Xbox package. While including a pretty sweet Xbox Series X console, it’s the ‘Cheeky’ Deadpool controllers that have everyone talking.

Announced by Xbox, players around the globe have the opportunity to “win a custom Xbox Series X console & two Cheeky Controllers designed by Deadpool.‌” The console and controllers notably feature the Merc with a Mouth’s iconic red and black colourway. The console also features Deadpool’s two katanas (Bea and Arthur).

However, it’s the controllers that immediately stick out. Designed to replicate “Deadpool’s buns of steel,” Xbox has integrated cheeks onto the backside of the two controllers. It’s arguably one of the most ingenious custom console designs Xbox has created. And that’s saying something considering the company made a pizza-scented controller.

The ‘Xbox Cheeky Controller Sweepstakes’ is open to all countries in which Xbox is sold.  To enter the giveaway, you must follow Xbox on X, otherwise known as Twitter. You must then repost the following post with the hashtag “#XboxCheekyControllerSweepstakes” to enter. More info can be found here.

The sweepstakes is currently on and runs until Sunday, August 11th. The timing could not be better as we’re days away from Deadpool and Wolverine premiering in theatres.

The film notably stars Vancouver’s very own Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. He’s accompanied by Hugh Jackman, who is taking up the reigns of Wolverine once more. For what’s a highly anticipated movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, players can celebrate with a chance to win this exclusive console bundle.

Unfortunately, this bundle is the only of its kind. Xbox states the grand prize is worth an estimated $859.98 USD (around $1,175 CAD) and is the only one available. Which is a shame as I’m sure fans of Deadpool would flock to buy this purely for the novelty.
