Silo Season 2 to Premiere on Apple TV+ November 15

Apple has announced the premiere date of the second season of Silo on Apple TV+. Fans can look forward to the sophomore season arriving on the streaming service in November.
During San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, Apple announced that Silo’s follow-up season will arrive on Friday, November 15th. The season is confirmed to receive 10 full episodes, matching that of the first season. The first two episodes will premiere on Apple TV+ on November 15th. The remaining eight episodes will roll out weekly.
On top of confirming a release date, Forbes reports that Apple announced that Steve Zahn is joining the cast. Zahn last made a big splash on TV between his stint on The White Lotus and The Righteous Gemstones, both respectively on HBO.
Silo is based on a trilogy of novels, penned by Hugh Howey. The series focuses on a dystopian world in which a community of 10,000 people live underground in a bunker 140 years after the collapse of civilization. Forbidden to leave, an engineer gets swept into the mystery of a murder within the community, leading to uncovering secrets of the bunker.
The series stars Dune‘s Rebecca Ferguson as well as David Oyelowo, Common, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Rick Gomez, Harriet Walter, Will Patten, and Iain Glen.
Recently, it’s been reported that Apple will reduce streaming production costs as a means of staying competitive. Although it’s hard to say how this may impact Silo and any subsequent seasons, cost-cutting efforts may not be realized until much further down the road.
