If you’re a Spotify user on the company’s free tier, unlimited lyrics are coming your way beyond the currently limited restrictions of three songs.
The ability to see lyrics for unlimited songs is normally part of a paid tier, but that’s changing. Spotify confirmed this with Engadget, saying, “At Spotify, we’re always testing and iterating. This means availability of our features can vary across tiers and between markets and devices,”
Spotify added,”Over the coming weeks, we’ll be expanding Lyrics availability for Spotify Free users so more people can enjoy viewing more lyrics, globally.”
So this means Spotify free users in Canada will soon get free unlimited lyrics as well, which are licensed and synced by Musixmatch.
Spotify plans start at $5.99/month in Canada for students and the individual Premium plans are $10.99/month.
