Public Mobile Increases Price of 50GB Promo Plan by $2/month
Telus-owned Public Mobile continues to tweak its wireless plan lineup and now it has increased the price of a ‘promo’ plan that debuted two weeks ago.
After removing Canada-US plans that matched Freedom Mobile, Public Mobile retained a $34/50GB 5G plan with unlimited Canada-wide calling. But now this plan has increased by $2 per month to $36 for unlimited data (throttled once you exceed your data cap). I guess the proposition here is to get customers to spend a few bucks more for the $39/50GB Canada-US plan (to increase average revenue per user metrics).
Here is the Public Mobile plan list as of today:
- $19/1GB 4G
- $23/6GB 4G
- $30/15GB 4G
- $34/15GB 5G Canada-US
- $36/50GB 5G (+$2; promotion)
- $39/50GB 5G Canada-US
- $50/60GB 5G (promotion)
Last week, we told you Public Mobile added a new $50/60GB 5G plan, while also axing its $44/80GB 5G Canada-US plan. We have a feeling once Black Friday rolls around we’ll start to see old deals come back from the dead.
