Elon Musk Claims Spaces With Trump Amassed 1 Billion Combined Views, Amidst Tech Issues

Last night, Elon Musk held a conversation with former President Donald Trump via X (formerly Twitter) Spaces. While the conversation was delayed due to immediate tech issues, Musk claims that the conversation nearly reached one billion combined views.
Following the interview, the official @X account announced the conversation generated “a total of 998 million views.” It’s also been noted that “President Donald Trump’s Space post received 73 million views. During the same period, there were 4 million posts about Elon Musk and President Trump’s conversation on X.” Musk continued to suggest that the combined views and discussions reached around one billion combined views.
However, the event wasn’t without its issues. The X Spaces interview between Musk and Trump was to begin promptly at 8 PM ET. In the lead-up to the start time, it became apparent that the platform was suffering issues. The X Spaces crashed immediately, delaying the interview. This technological error was reminiscent of the Ron DeSantis Spaces failure in which tech issues disrupted his announcement to run for the Republican nomination in the 2024 election.
By 8:18 PM ET, Musk claimed that X was targetted by a “massive DDOS attack.” During this time, the rest of X operated as normal. In a follow-up post, the X owner jested in response to the post blaming Democrats. Musk also claimed that the system was tested with eight million concurrent listeners on Monday. That all being said, by the time the interview began, the X Spaces room appeared to only have around 915,000 people listening.

Once the interview was finally underway, it was sadly underwhelming. The roughly two-hour discussion covered the recent assassination attempt, their stances on immigration, and a list of other dull conversation topics. During this, CNN reports Trump made around 20 false claims.

THE 'CNN" whose viewership is in steep decline and who recently reported that they and TNT combined, lost $10b last quarter? Seems they tried to hitch their wagon onto a successful platform?…
"The roughly two-hour discussion covered the recent assassination attempt … and a list of other dull conversation topics." Wow, what would be an exciting topic to you?
To be fair, Trump did do most of the talking, but there was quite a few interesting insights in this conversation. I think it's a good thing to have this kind of conversation. Kamala should do the same thing, and I don't mean this in a negative or deceitful way. More conversations, less trying to take each other down.
