Fizz Launches Phone Sales with Discounts on Plans

Videotron’s Fizz today started selling mobile phones across Canada, offering up to 60% off its cellular plans to customers who purchase a device from the telecom operator.
“As Fizz continues to do things differently, we took this opportunity to launch our device offering with a Fizz twist: buy a selected phone and save up to 60% on your mobile plan for 24 months,” a spokesperson for the telco told iPhone in Canada in an email.
All Fizz customers — new and existing — can now choose from a wide range of cell phones, both new and refurbished, at Fizz.ca. Be on the lookout for a purple stamp with a discount percentage when browsing through the available models, and you’ll be able to save significantly on a Fizz phone plan for the next two years.
The discounts are applicable on all available Fizz plans, and the discount will also carry over to any new plan the user switches to during the next 24 months. “There’s no fixed-term contract, Fizz believes that its members should stay for the right reasons,” the Fizz spokesperson said.
You can head over to the Fizz website to learn more about the telco’s device offerings.
Fizz last month also launched the beta of its new TV service, offering customizable plans for as low as $2 per month. Back in June, Fizz launched a range of new cellular plans, adding 50GB, 60GB, and 80GB options to its lineup with a $4/month U.S. roaming add-on for talk, text, and data.

Pretty good prices. Is this one of the original new entrants (mobi, wind, public) or an MVNO?
It's Videotron's MVNO.
Thanks. So, least in part, it’s Wind’s network (since videotron bought freedom).
