Tesla has launched its Wall Connector chargers on Amazon Canada, offering another way to buy the company’s official chargers.
The chargers are currently featured in Amazon’s main carousel, offering Canadians the convenience of Prime shipping speeds, reports Tesla North.
Two versions of the Tesla Wall Connector are available:
The Universal Wall Connector includes Tesla’s Powershare technology, designed to work with the pricey Cybertruck. This feature allows the Cybertruck to power a home for over three days during a power outage.
Both products are sold by Tesla and shipped by Amazon, not third-parties. The prices on Amazon are consistent with those on Tesla’s website, but you get Prime shipping speeds.
Installation of the Wall Connectors requires an electrician (unless you’re fully capable but you might not want to burn your house down), as they provide faster Level 2 charging compared to the slower trickle charging offered by a Mobile Connector.
Tesla already offers its Wall Connectors on Amazon USA, but our American friends also have accessories available as well. That could be the next addition from Tesla on Amazon.ca in the future it seems.
