If you’re looking for a sale on Apple’s discontinued MagSafe Duo wireless charger (it debuted in 2020), check out the sale right now over at The Source. Apple removed the accessory from its online store after last year’s iPhone 15 event.
The retail price of this aging Apple accessory which was discontinued back in 2023, is still $169.99 at Best Buy Canada. But The Source has it on clearance for $89.96 online, saving you 47% off or $80.
MagSafe Duo will wirelessly charge all iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 models, along with all Apple Watch models, plus other MagSafe and Qi-certified accessories such as compatible AirPods cases.
It uses a USB-C to Lightning cable, and for optimal performance, a 20W or higher USB-C power adapter is recommended. When used correctly, it delivers up to 14W of peak power to iPhones, with power levels depending on the adapter’s rating and various factors such as temperature and system activity.
The MagSafe Duo Charger can also charge Apple Watches in either a flat or upright position, though adjustments might be needed for larger models to ensure proper magnetic alignment.
MagSafe Duo does not support fast charging for Apple Watch Series 7, 8, or Ultra models. It also won’t fit the camera bumps for iPhone 13 Pro and newer models. Many like this accessory for use when they are travelling.
