Sennheiser App Launches ‘Find My Buds’, Auracast Assistant

Sennheiser has released a major update to its Smart Control App, introducing new features aimed at enhancing the user experience for its Momentum and Accentum true wireless earbuds.
The update sets the stage for broader wireless capabilities with the introduction of the Auracast assistant and new device-tracking functionalities.
The Auracast assistant allows users to connect seamlessly to “one-to-many” Bluetooth LE Audio broadcasts, enabling functions such as sharing music with friends or accessing location-specific audio guides.

The technology is available on the Momentum True Wireless 4 (on sale for $349) now, and Accentum True Wireless earbuds via a firmware update later.
The update also includes a “Find headphones” feature, enabling users to locate their earbuds’ last known position using smartphone location services. Users can also activate an audible signal to help locate their connected earbuds nearby. Now, it’s too bad this tech doesn’t use Apple and Google’s Find My network.

The updated Smart Control App (version 4.9.0 and up) is available on iOS and Android, with Auracast and location-tracking features rolling out via firmware updates.
