Apple Store Down for Maintenance Ahead of iPhone 16 Glowtime Event

The Apple Store is currently down for maintenance ahead of today’s Glowtime event. To give the commerce team enough time to update the site to reflect today’s announcement, the online store is down for a short period.
Today, Apple is hosting its big iPhone 16 Glowtime event in Cupertino. Unveiling the new iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, alongside the Apple Watch Series 10 and more, customers around the world can tune in and watch. However, ahead of the event, Apple has ceased access to the online storefront.
“We’re making updates to the Apple Store,” the site now reads. “Check back soon.” The page also links out to the event, where eager customers can tune in at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT.
Following the event, the Apple website will be updated to show off all the new devices announced during the Glowtime event. While it’s yet to be confirmed, preorders for the iPhone 16 series will likely go up later this week. Historically, Apple opens preorders on the Friday following its keynote. This means users can expect preorder to begin on September 13 with the official release a week later on September 20th.
On top of announcing the iPhone 16 series, be sure to watch the Glowtime event for what’ll likely highlight the new Apple Watch Series 10 as the wearable hits its 10th year on the consumer market. Reports also indicate that the AirPods 4 will be revealed with active noise cancellation.
Be sure to keep up with everything here on iPhone in Canada following the event later today. We’ll have news on all the announcements, including Canadian pricing and availability.
