The last time Apple did a jet black iPhone it didn't go so well. Scratched easily. Hope they have improved the process so the watch doesn't scratch as much.
Apple used to sell a jet-black stainless steel model that was DLC coated – which worked amazingly well. I've had mine for years and have banged it around without a scratch on it. But I doubt they will DLC-coat their aluminum watches. One can hope though.
