Amazon Prime Day Returns October 8-9 in Canada

Amazon has confirmed it is hosting its second Prime Day event next month. As announced by the company this week, Prime Big Deal Days is being held on Tuesday, October 8th through Wednesday, October 9th.
In the blog post confirming the news, Amazon states that Prime members will be able to take advantage of 40% off promos running during the 48-hour window. Starting October 8 at 3:01 AM ET/12:01 AM PT, users will see lowered prices on winter gear, Halloween costumes, the latest electronics, and Amazon Essentials.
“We’re gearing up for another exciting holiday shopping season, filled with unbeatable deals on beloved brands, seasonal products, and popular gifts available exclusively for Prime members,” Vice President of Prime Worldwide, Jamil Ghani says in the announcement.
For the second Prime Day event of the year, Amazon states that Prime members can save up to 50% off on select Amazon devices, including the Echo Show 5, Echo Spot, Blink Mini 2, Ring Pan-Tilt Cam, eero Pro 6E, and eero Max 7 mesh WiFi systems. Discounts also apply to the Kindle Scribe, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire HD 10 Kids tablets, and Fire HD 8 NKET.
Here’s a teaser of some sales to expect, according to Amazon:
- Halloween costumes for the family starting at $15
- Beauty and fashion brands like LANEIGE, Caudalie, Paula’s Choice, Olay, Adidas, and Levi’s
- Electronics from top companies like JBL, Samsung, and Fujifilm
- Toys from LEGO, Mattel, and Hasbro
- Winter fashion must-haves from Amazon Essentials
- Home appliances from brands like Ninja, Shark, Bissell, and Keurig
As with other Prime Day events, Amazon will offer its deals and discounts to Prime members. While not guaranteed, there’s a likelihood that most deals will be gated behind the $9.99 monthly membership fee.
The second Prime Day of 2024 will be available in Canada alongside many global markets including Austria, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey the U.K., and the U.S. Japan will host its own Prime Big Deal Days “later in October.”
