Banjo-Tooie to Arrive on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack on October 25th

Nintendo has announced that the 2000 3D platformer Banjo-Tooie will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack later this month.
On X (formally Twitter), Nintendo of America revealed that the well-regarded sequel to Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie will be available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers starting on October 25th. “Banjo-Tooie is now coming to the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Switch Online collection of games!” Nintendo says.
Banjo-Tooie follows the two respective characters Banjo and Kazooie as they stop Gruntilda’s plans once again. As the notorious witch and her two sisters attempt to vaporize the island, Banjo and Kazooie race to solve puzzles, collect Jiggies, and enter brand-new worlds. Rare’s Banjo-Tooie also features a wonderful multiplayer suite where up to four players can compete across several minigames inspired by the main campaign.
“It’s the bear-bird duo Banjo and Kazooie to the rescue! Magical minigames, perplexing puzzles, and freaky foes await them in the stages ahead – through ancient ruins, underwater realms, and even an amusement park of sorts,” the trailer’s description reads.
The arrival of Banjo-Tooie marks another interesting collaboration between Nintendo and Microsoft. Microsoft acquired Rare in 2002, two years after Nintendo first published Banjo-Tooie on Nintendo 64. Over the years, iconic titles from Rare’s back catalogue, including Banjo-Kazooie and GoldenEye 007, have appeared on Nintendo’s Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
A yearly subscription of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is available for $63.99 in Canada. Nintendo also offers a 12-month Family Membership, including up to eight accounts, for $99.99.
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack provides subscribers access to a collection of Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, NES, and SNES titles. The subscription service includes premium pieces of DLC like the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass.
