In today’s M4 MacBook Pro announcement, Apple confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 is finally coming to the Mac.

Apple says the futuristic game Cyberpunk 2077 is “coming early next year.” The company says, “it’s one of the most graphically demanding and complex games ever created, with advanced features like path tracing, frame generation, and built-in Spatial Audio for immersive gameplay and even more stunning visuals.”

The game first debuted in 2020 from developer CD Projekt Red, who is behind other hugely popular RPGs such as The Witcher franchise.

According to CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion, Phantom Liberty, will debut on Apple Silcon-powered Macs for the first time. The Ultimate Edition of the game will be available on both the Mac App Store and Steam, with Steam users able to carry over their existing PC purchases to the Mac version.

Who’s excited for this? No word on system requirements yet, but let’s hope it’s not limited to the M4 chip family.

This is huge and I'm very curious to see how it will be on macOS, Cyberpunk is a very demanding game on PC.
With my 4080s, I can 4k60+ with DLSS Quality.

But still a great news for gaming on mac.

There is no DLSS alternative for Mac OS there? Would be problematic without it.
