Fubo Adds Multiview Feature on Roku Devices in Canada

Fubo just rolled out a new feature for its subscribers watching on select Roku devices.
The new Multiview option lets users watch up to four channels at the same time, which is a first for live TV streaming in Canada. Right now, it’s in beta on select Roku devices, with plans to expand to more in the coming weeks.
Fubo’s Multiview lets you pick and arrange any four live channels to watch side-by-side, letting you soak up multiple channels at the same time, for example. Fubo says it’s different from similar features on other streaming services because it works across all Fubo channels, giving users more options for live sports and news.
“Our innovative tech features like Multiview have long differentiated Fubo from its competitors and we couldn’t be more excited to expand its availability to Roku users in Canada,” said Ben Grad, senior vice president, strategic partnerships and operations, Fubo, in a statement to iPhone in Canada. “With Multiview, Canadian fans can watch all of the sports they love without ever missing a moment, from soccer to hockey and more, underscoring our commitment to delivering a premium streaming experience.”’
The following Roku device models support Multiview at the moment. At a minimum, Roku OS14 and the Fubo app version v5.8.0 is required:
- Roku Ultra (Model 4850X): Supports up to 4 Multiview screens.
- Roku Express 4K+ (Models 3940X2 and 3941X2): Each supports up to 2 Multiview screens.
- Roku Streaming Stick 4K+ (Models 3820X2 and 3821X2): Each supports up to 2 Multiview
Fubo previously added multiview on its Apple TV app way back in October 2020. But now this is finally coming to Roku.
