Public Mobile Adds $29 Canada-US-Mexico Plan to Match Freedom

Telus-owned Public Mobile launched Mexico roaming plans today, and now it continues to tweak its plans to match Quebecor’s Freedom Mobile.

Earlier today, we saw the following Canada-US-Mexico roaming plans for talk, text and data, but now there’s a new plan:

But just this afternoon, a new $29/10GB 5G Canada-US-Mexico plan was added to the roster. This plan matches what Freedom Mobile has as well, but the latter’s $29 price is only good for 18 months (you need to subscribe to internet to have the discount last forever).

Other plans available (new activations only):

We have yet to see Fido, Koodo or Virgin Plus debut Mexico roaming, but that could happen as we get closer to actual Black Friday.

If you need a Public Mobile SIM now (instead of waiting for the Canada Post strike to end), you can order one on Amazon.ca for $4.99 with Prime shipping speeds.

Let's face it and be real shall we? The Mobile Cabal here in Canada has been fixed for years. Everyone has the same offers and everyone matches each other. What happen to … Public Mobile…. Different is Calling??? How is matching Freedom Mobile "Different". You want to be different Public Mobile, beat it by $5 and sell the plan for $24. Now THAT is "Different".

Instead of paying for a physical SIM card and waiting for it to be shipped, it would be advisable to get a free Public Mobile eSIM through the app or website.

What does this comment have anything to do with the blog? Zero relevance. Thanks for contributing nothing of value.

Maybe you didn’t read the post bud –

“If you need a Public Mobile SIM now (instead of waiting for the Canada Post strike to end), you can order one on http://Amazon.ca for $4.99 with Prime shipping speeds.”

I’m helping people save $5.

Happy to have others decide who’s comment has zero value Dalton.

Wrong. He was commenting on the very last sentence in the blog:

'If you need a Public Mobile SIM now (instead of waiting for the Canada Post strike to end), you can order one on (Amazon link) for $4.99 with Prime shipping speeds.'
