Donkey Kong Land 2 is Now Available to Play Via Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has added Donkey Kong Land 2 to Nintendo Switch Online, this quickly follows after the addition of Donkey Kong Land last week.
Announced earlier, Nintendo confirms that it “Donkey Kong Land 2 is now available to play for Nintendo Switch Online members.” Donkey Kong Land 2, for the uninitiated, is a Game Boy title, developed by Rare, that first released in 1996. The sequel to Donkey Kong Land quickly followed as the predecessor released one year prior. The game largely stars Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong, forgoing the titular Donkey Kong who has been kidnapped by Kaptain K. Rool.
“Wage battle against Kaptain K. Rool and his vast army of Kremlings! K. Rool kidnapped Donkey Kong and he’s demanding the entire Banana Hoard as ransom,” the official description reads. “It’s up to Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong to rescue their kidnapped pal. A wild assortment of friendly animals like Rambi the Rhino, Squitter the Spider, Squawks the Parrot, Rattly the Rattlesnake, and Enguarde the Swordfish help the two little monkeys in their adventurous mission. Each exciting level is filled with special traps, hidden items, and dastardly Kremlings! Prepare yourself for the biggest Game Boy adventure yet!”
The game supports the original ACM graphics tailor made for the Game Boy. With Super Game Boy compatibility, Donkey Kong Land 2 also offers enhanced colours and special border graphics.
With the addition of Donkey Kong Land and Donkey Kong Land 2, one must wonder if the goal will be to round out the trilogy with Donkey Kong Land III. Over the past few month, it appears as though Nintendo has been working alongside the Microsoft-owned Rare to bring many of the classic Nintendo games to its online service. This includes the recently added Banjo-Tooie.
An annual subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is available for $63.99 in Canada. Additionally, Nintendo offers a 12-month Family Membership, including up to eight accounts, for $99.99.

Only played a handful of levels for the first Donkey Kong Land, the graphics were amazing on the original Game Boy. It was very startling that something like that was even possible on the 1989 portable.
However, it was very hard to see stuff due to the black and green color screen, sometimes it's better to have less decoration in your games, like the original Super Mario Land. Much easier to see stuff on the monochrome portables.
