Sony Unveils PS Plus December 2024 Catalog, 30th Anniversary Bonuses

Sony has revealed an exciting lineup of games and events for PlayStation Plus members this December as part of the company’s 30th-anniversary celebration.

Starting December 3, subscribers can access “It Takes Two,” “Aliens: Dark Descent,” and “Temtem” as part of the monthly free games offering.

• It Takes Two: A critically acclaimed co-op platformer that invites players to navigate a whimsical world as a couple seeking to repair their relationship. With split-screen gameplay and a Friend’s Pass, the game encourages collaboration through unique challenges.
• Aliens: Dark Descent: A real-time strategy game set in the Alien universe. Players command a squad of marines against terrifying Xenomorphs and rogue Weyland-Yutani operatives in high-stakes combat.
• Temtem: A vibrant creature-collection game where players explore the Airborne Archipelago, battle other tamers, and tackle challenging storylines to become ultimate Temtem masters.

These games will remain available to PlayStation Plus members until January 6.

30th Anniversary Bonus Activities

Sony is also rolling out a series of celebratory activities for its 30th anniversary. Highlights include:

• PlayStation Plus Premium Game Trials: Starting December 3, premium members can experience a trial of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2.
• Classic Games Additions: On December 10, the lineup expands with Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.
• Free Online Multiplayer Weekend: From December 6-8, all PS4 and PS5 owners can enjoy online multiplayer without a PlayStation Plus membership.
• Esports Tournaments: Players can compete in tournaments for games like Tekken 8, NBA 2K25, and more, with prizes up for grabs.
• Sweepstakes: From December 10-23, members playing games from the Classics Catalog have a chance to win a 30-month PlayStation Plus Premium subscription.

Additionally, Sony Pictures Core will offer discounts on blockbuster movies, including Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Gran Turismo. Members who purchase a 12-month PlayStation Plus subscription can also earn credits for digital movie purchases.
