What began as a casual discussion in the FlickrCentral group in 2007 has grown into Flickr’s most popular contest. Over the years, Your Best Shot has become a global stage for photographers of all skill levels, highlighting exceptional talent and fostering a sense of community among Flickr members.

This year’s contest is bigger than ever, featuring five competitive categories, including the much-loved “Open” category, which makes a triumphant return. Whether you’re a landscape photographer, portrait specialist, or experimental artist, there’s a category to showcase your finest work.

Participants have a chance to win some incredible prizes. A winner will be selected from each of the five categories, receiving:

  • One year of Flickr Pro, offering enhanced features for photographers.
  • A stunning metal print of a photo of their choice.

But the rewards don’t stop there. From the five category winners, one grand prize winner will be crowned the best of the best, earning a brand-new camera from an impressive lineup. The grand prize winner can choose between:

  • Sony A7 IV
  • Canon EOS R6 Mark II
  • Nikon Z7 II
  • Fujifilm X-T5

To participate, join the Your Best Shot 2024 group on Flickr and review the FAQs for detailed rules. While the group is open for membership now, photo submissions will only be accepted from December 1st, 2024, to January 4th, 2025, closing at 7 PM PT.

Each participant is allowed to submit one photo, so make it count! This single entry should represent your finest work of the year, making the decision as exciting as the contest itself.
