Sonos has rolled out the latest update for its mobile app, again addressing bugs and improving features for Android users and overall system performance.
Nick Millington, Sonos’ Chief Innovation Officer, shared with iPhone in Canada that the update focuses on enhancing the user experience and resolving issues highlighted by customers.
The latest version, 80.14.06 for Android and 80.14.07 for iOS, includes smoother group volume controls for Android, improved album art display for local music libraries, better multi-system support, and updates to SiriusXM to display album art. Also, the Android app interface and Trueplay tuning have seen further refinements (it debuted for the first time with the Arc Ultra).
Looking ahead to 2025, Sonos plans to bring back playlist editing and snooze alarms, features that many users have been requesting. Improvements to the Local Music Library are also on the horizon, including better A-Z scrolling, enhanced queue management, and overall stability.
The company has acknowledged ongoing challenges with group volume connectivity for some users and is committed to addressing these issues in future updates.
The new update is rolling out gradually, and users can check their app store to download it once available.

I can't seem to find the app version in the iOS app. They've buried it somewhere. Anyone been able to find it?
