How to Use Real-Time Translation on Apple Watch [VIDEO]

With the release of watchOS 11, Apple Watch users can now utilize the built-in Translate app for seamless communication across different languages.

The features enables Apple Watch users to quickly translate text or spoken phrases, offering both on-screen results and audible playback directly from their wrist.

Users can choose to dictate a phrase, type their input using the on-screen keyboard, or speak directly into the watch. The app then displays the translated text and plays it out loud if desired, making it particularly useful for travelers.

Here’s how to start translating on your Apple Watch:

Open the Translate App: Locate and tap the Translate icon on your Apple Watch.

  1. Select Your Language: Choose the target language for translation.
  2. Swap Between Languages: Use the swap button to quickly toggle between source and target languages.
  3. Input Your Phrase: Tap the microphone icon to dictate a phrase or use the keyboard to type it. As you speak or type, translations appear dynamically.
  4. Play Audio: Tap the play button to hear the translation spoken aloud. For automatic audio playback, adjust settings in the “More Options” menu.
  5. Save or Delete Translations: Swipe left to save translations as favorites or swipe right to delete them from your history.

The Translate app is available in watchOS 11 and is pre-installed on compatible Apple Watch devices. Watch the following Apple support video to learn more.
