How to Control Your iPhone From a Mac [VIDEO]

Apple has introduced a convenient new way for users to control their iPhones directly from their Mac, thanks to iPhone Mirroring, a new feature built into macOS Sequoia 15.

Powered by Apple’s Continuity suite, this tool enables users to operate their iPhones via their Mac’s trackpad, keyboard, or mouse, streamlining multitasking and device management like never before.

iPhone Mirroring allows users to view and interact with their iPhone’s interface on their Mac. Whether you want to open apps, adjust settings, or simply navigate your iPhone without lifting it, this feature provides full access right from a macOS interface.

To get started, ensure that:

  • Your Mac and iPhone must run compatible software versions.
  • Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple ID account.
  • The iPhone must be locked and within close proximity to the Mac.

Here’s how to activate and use iPhone Mirroring:

  1. Find the app in your Dock, Applications folder, or Launchpad.
  2. If prompted, unlock your iPhone by entering the passcode directly on your phone. A notification will confirm the connection and display your iPhone’s screen in the iPhone Mirroring window.
  3. You may be asked to allow or block notifications from your iPhone. These settings can later be modified in the Mac’s Notifications settings. Adjust security settings for authentication.
  4. Use your Mac’s mouse or trackpad to navigate the iPhone interface. Perform typical actions, like launching apps or managing system settings, directly from the Mac interface.
  5. To disconnect, quit the iPhone Mirroring app or unlock your iPhone.

If you own multiple iPhones signed into the same Apple ID and near your Mac, iPhone Mirroring lets you pick which one to connect to. Use the app’s settings to toggle between devices for both notifications and mirroring sessions.
