Samsung Announces ‘AI For All’ Vision During CES 2025

During its CES 2025 keynote, Samsung revealed its ‘AI for All’ vision. Focusing on bringing AI to more devices, the company wants to make AI an “Everyday, Everywhere” experience.

During the keynote, Jong-Hee Han, Vice Chairman, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, introduced Samsung’s vision for Home AI. The strategy focuses on using the company’s AI-powered innovations across mobile, home appliances and visual displays.

Part of Home AI centres on using Samsung Knox Matrix to secure user privacy and data. As more devices are connected around the home, security capabilities will have to evolve. Jonathan Gabrio, Head of the Connected Experience Center at Samsung Electronics America, explained that Samsung Knox Matrix is able to protect home appliances as well as mobile devices and TVs using blockchain technology. The technology uses Credential Sync to ensure data is encrypted and decrypted only by the user’s device. Samsung Knox Vault is being used as another failsafe, keeping passwords and other private information isolated in a secure location.

“I’m proud of how we have introduced new technologies and intelligence to the home, connected key devices and set the standard for the home of the future,” Vice Chairman Han said. “This year at CES, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering personalized experiences through our widespread implementation of AI and we will continue this journey of AI leadership in the home and beyond, not just for the next decade, but for the next century.”

Home AI is also said to be leveraging SmartThings to bring intelligent connectivity to users around the world. SmartThings Ambient Sensing can understand the user’s environment and contextual surroundings to allow devices to intelligently respond and adapt to daily routines. The technology even reads movements and ambient sounds through connected devices around the home.

AI-powered devices such as the new Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360 support features such as AI Select and Samsung Studio. Powered by the Intel Core Ultra Processors (Series 2), AI Select connects devices such as a Galaxy smartphone, tablet, or PC and allows users to edit across their devices. Photo Remaster upscale low-resolution photos into higher-quality images. AI is also being used across Samsung Health to better support data across health and wellness. With a new partnership with Dexcom, Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch are able to provide more accurate AI-driven health insights.

Earlier, Samsung also announced Vision AI. Alongside the debut of the Neo QLED 8K QN990F TV, the company outlined that Vision AI is able to provide more contextual information regarding on-screen content. Similar to Prime Video’s X-Ray support, actors and related topics can be identified. Vision AI can also offer real-time subtitles as well as personalized displays with generative wallpaper. Image quality is also being improved using 8K AI Upscaling Pro, Auto HDR Remastering Pro and Color Booster Pro. These features will enhance picture quality automatically.
