Become Godzilla in Fortnite: New Quests, Outfits, and More

A colossal showdown awaits Fortnite players as iconic titans Godzilla and Kong make their debut in Battle Royale with the v33.20 update.

Starting January 17, players will experience an epic transformation, new game mechanics, and exclusive cosmetics that bring the Monsterverse to life in Fortnite.

Players who explore the Battle Royale map tomorrow may encounter a special portal. The first player to jump through it will transform into Godzilla, wielding unique and devastating powers. As Godzilla, unleash chaos using the Roar ability to reveal nearby players, Mighty Stomp to send foes flying, and the powerful Heat Ray to destroy enemies and structures alike.

Godzilla’s arrival is far from unstoppable, though. Fellow players can target its weak spots to deal critical damage. Defeating Godzilla rewards participants with Fragments that restore health and grant dash charges.

For owners of the 鬼 HUNTERS Battle Pass, the Godzilla Evolved Outfit and related cosmetics are up for grabs by completing Battle Pass Quests. These quests reward players with spectacular accessories, including:

• Godzilla’s Exo-Spine Back Bling
• Crystal Fang Pickaxe
• Mothra Glider
• Lil’ Godzilla Attack Emote

These quests remain active until February 21, 2025, at 2 AM ET.

Starting January 16 at 7 PM ET, the Mechagodzilla & Kong Bundle also enters the shop. This bundle includes:

• Reactive Mechagodzilla Outfit (glows during combat)
• Kong Outfit
• Proton Drill Pickaxe
• Kong’s Battle Axe Pickaxe
• Proton Exo-Boosters Back Bling
• B.E.A.S.T. Armorplate Back Bling
• Roar Power and Cybernetic Scream Wraps
• B.E.A.S.T. Glove Emote

Each outfit is also available for individual purchase, so players can customize their Monsterverse look.

Also dropping January 16 at 7 PM ET is the Nissan Skyline GT-R | Godzilla x Kong Bundle. This iconic car body offers animated decals inspired by Godzilla, Kong, and Mechagodzilla. Choose from accessories like the Godzilla Wheels, Monarch Tech Wheels, or the classic Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) Wheels for a Monsterverse-inspired drive across the map.
