Fortnite LEGO Hands-On: Building the Iconic Battle Bus and More

We recently had the chance to build the new LEGO Fortnite sets with my nephews, and it was a fun way to spend the weekend, as the sets were sent our way from both companies to check out.
The sets are well-designed, and the attention to detail is pretty incredible, making them a great choice for Fortnite fans or anyone who enjoys building detailed LEGO sets. These collabs just never end (this time it’s LEGO and Epic Games) and this latest series with Fortnite is pretty awesome.

We started with the LEGO Fortnite Supply Llama, a 691-piece set that was a hit with the kids. The design is spot-on, and the accessories like the Grappler, Slurp Juice, and Dynamite made it even more engaging to build and display. The Fortnite Llama costs $49.99 CAD.

Next, we tackled the LEGO Fortnite Durrr Burger, which is a smaller set at 193 pieces. My nephews enjoyed putting together this colourful and quirky mascot, complete with its signature olive toothpick and its tongue out. It’s a quick build, but pretty fun and can be an entry set into the Fortnite LEGO series as it’s the cheapest at $19.99 CAD.

The LEGO Fortnite Peely Bone was the most challenging set at 1,414 pieces. It wasn’t hard (despite being labelled 18+), but took us a while given it had the most pieces. This is where the sets jump in pricepoint as you get bigger sets with more pieces. This one is coming in at $129.99 CAD.

The final product, with moveable arms and detailed items like the Peely Pick Pickaxe and Banana Bag Back Bling, was worth the effort.

This set was larger than we expected. Just be wary that this set is a bit top-heavy, so it can fall over if you knock it by accident.

Peely Bone is like Harvey Dent, Two-Face, but its entire body.

Finally, we built the popular LEGO Fortnite Battle Bus, a 954-piece set that really impressed us with its rolling wheels, removable roof, and iconic blue-and-yellow balloon. Plus, it comes with eight characters.
Here, you can see that the top roof of the bus easily removes:

The Fortnite LEGO Battle Bus is a fun and recognizable addition to any Fortnite collection. Everyone who has come over and seen it, they’ve been pretty amazed at the details. It’s also priced the same as Peely Bone at $129.99 CAD, but is so popular it remains back ordered on LEGO’s website. It’s up to you to decide if you want to drop $130 on this set or not, but I can tell you it’s going to be a guaranteed hit.
Building these Fortnite sets was a great group activity, and my nephews were thrilled to see their favourite Fortnite elements brought to life with such precision.
These sets would make a thoughtful holiday gift for gamers and LEGO fans alike. Thanks again to LEGO and Epic Games for sending them our way to check out.
