Bell was Canada’s Fastest Mobile Provider in 2H 2024, Says Report

Ookla, a global leader in connectivity insights and speed tests, has released its H2 2025 Connectivity Report for Canada. The latest data outlines the network performance in each market taken by millions of daily consumer-initiated tests on Speedtest. The latest report includes data taken between July and December 2024.
According to the data shown, Bell Mobility was the fastest mobile provider in Canada during the 2H 2024 period. Ookla states that across all technology combined, including 5G-supported devices, Bell Mobility was recorded with a median 5G download speed of 166.60Mbps and upload speeds of 14.25Mbps.
For Bell pure fibre, Ookla’s data states it was the ‘Best Fixed Network’ in Canada during this duration with 332.26Mbps down and 284.9Mbps up. The report states Bell Mobility offered the “best 5G gaming experience” in Canada during 2H 2024. Bell Fibre, on the other hand, was recorded as the best gaming experience amongst ISPs.
As for Rogers, Ookla states that the provider led the market with “the best 5G availability” during 2G 2024. It’s said that 83.9 of its users accessed its 5G network “a majority” of the time. Bell and Telus both trailed behind significantly. However, for Telus, it’s said that the provider had the “most consistent mobile network” with an 84.9 percent consistency rating. Telus also leads as the best provider of video experience in Canada, according to Speedtest Intelligence data. With only a small margin, the provider bested Bell Mobility.
Across the province, Newfoundland and Labrador led with the fastest median fixed download speed. Ookla’s report states that the province tapped 247.87Mbps. Saskatchewan, however, led with the fastest median mobile download speed in Canada, recording 102.42Mbps. Manitoba, Alberta, and Ontario followed. When looking at city-specific performance, Halifax led the charge with a median of 148.56Mbps download speed. St. John’s, Vancouver, and Toronto then trailed behind.

if you use iPhoneInCanada’s search engine at the top of this page and put in “fastest network”, the results will show you that the big three are all the fastest at some point in time. lol. All the same. Just like their plans. lol. Even their “fastest” awards, all the same. Competition, one of Canada’s greatest illusions.
Funny MY speed test show that Rogers is far more superior then the clearly inferior Bell option.
Ah yes that bastion of accurate speeds, speed test.
Try http://testmy.net as that provides a very accurate test. Real data. Doesn't report the line speed max, actual usage and explanation.
