The incident came to light through a Reddit post, where the user detailed purchasing the earbuds from a local Walmart store. Apple had previously teased the Powerbeats Pro 2 in a video featuring baseball star Shohei Ohtani, highlighting a redesigned, slimmer profile compared to the original 2019 model.
The new design retains the signature ear hooks but offers a more streamlined and vertical build, aiming for enhanced comfort and stability during workouts
Upgrades expected in the Powerbeats Pro 2 include the integration of Apple’s H2 chip, which is also found in the AirPods Pro 2. This chip is anticipated to bring advanced features such as active noise cancellation (ANC), a notable improvement over the original model, which lacked this capability. Additionally, the H2 chip should enhance sound quality and extend battery life.
A standout feature of the upcoming earbuds is the inclusion of heart rate monitoring, catering to fitness enthusiasts who seek to track their workout intensity without additional devices.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 are expected to be available in four distinct color options: Electric Orange, Hyper Purple, Jet Black, and Quick Sand, providing users with a variety of aesthetic choices. In terms of pricing, reports suggest a retail price of $250 in the United States.
