Apple Now Lets You Migrate and Merge Apple Account Purchases

Apple is introducing the ability to migrate digital purchases from one Apple Account to another. This will be a major boon for users who may be utilizing two Apple Accounts for various means.
As first discovered by 512 Pixels’Stephen Hackett (via MacRumors), Apple has published a new document outlining the support of the migration feature. Apple also highlights how users can take advantage of this and move digital purchases from a secondary Apple Account to a primary one or vice versa.
All digital purchases spanning apps, movies, TV shows, movies, music, etc. are eligible to be moved from one Apple Account to another. If say a season of a TV show was purchased on a secondary account and now the user wishes to migrate it and merge it with the primary, where the rest of the digital media collection is, Apple can now support that.
According to the company, users will need the email address, phone number, and password for both accounts to migrate purchases. Two-factor authentication must be turned on to support the migration. You’ll need to sign in with the two different accounts on an iPad or iPhone. It’ll be a lengthy process to ensure that both accounts are set up properly, including ensuring that both Apple Accounts are being used in the same country. Thankfully, Apple provides an entire checklist to go over and ensure all is ready for a merge.
In order to initiate the merge, you can go to the Settings app, navigate to ‘Media and Purchases,’ and select ‘View Account.’ Afterwards, choose the ‘Migrate Purchases’ option. Once the migration process is complete, the secondary Apple Account can no longer be used for purchases. Thus, you’ll need to sign in with the primary account across all Apple devices.
It’s worth noting that as of now, this support is available worldwide with the exception of the European Union, United Kingdom, or India.
