Apple TV+ App Launches on Android: Download it Here Now

Apple has officially launched the Apple TV app for Android, allowing users to access Apple TV+ and MLS Season Pass on their phones and tablets for the first time.
The app is now available for download on Google Play, confirming earlier reports from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman that Apple was preparing to expand its streaming service to Android devices today.
The new Apple TV app gives Android users access to Apple TV+ originals, including popular shows like Ted Lasso, Severance, The Morning Show, and Masters of the Air, along with Apple Original films such as CODA, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Wolfs.
Android users can subscribe directly through their Google Play account and enjoy a seven-day free trial before committing to a paid plan. The app supports key features like Continue Watching and Watchlist, allowing seamless viewing across multiple devices.
Just in time for the 2025 MLS season, Apple says Android users can now subscribe to MLS Season Pass through the Apple TV app. The service offers every MLS match with no blackouts, plus exclusive content and in-depth coverage. Apple is also expanding its sports lineup with Sunday Night Soccer, a new weekly MLS primetime match, and continues to offer Friday Night Baseball featuring Major League Baseball double-headers.
Since its launch in 2019, Apple TV+ has positioned itself as a premium streaming service, earning over 500 awards and 2,500 nominations for its original content. Expanding to Android marks a major shift in Apple’s strategy, as the company traditionally keeps its services within its own ecosystem.
