Instagram DMs Get Music Sharing, QR Code Invites, and More
Instagram has unveiled a suite of new features within its Direct Messages (DMs), especially for users maintaining connections across different time zones and languages.

To bridge language barriers, Instagram now offers in-chat message translation for 99 different languages. This feature allows users to translate messages directly within their DMs. The translation appears inline, making multilingual communication more accessible and fluid.
Recognizing the challenges of coordinating across various time zones, Instagram has introduced a message scheduling feature. Users can now schedule messages up to 29 days in advance, ensuring timely communication without the need to be online at specific moments.
Instagram now allows users to pin up to three messages at the top of both individual and group chats. This feature ensures that critical details, such as event dates, addresses, or frequently referenced memes, remain easily reachable amidst active conversations.
Enhancing the social aspect of music discovery, Instagram has also integrated a music-sharing feature within DMs. Users can share their favorite tracks directly in chats, allowing friends to listen to the same tune in real-time without navigating away from the app.

Lastly, Instagram now offers personalized QR codes for each group, simplifying the process of adding new members to group chats. Users can share these unique codes to invite friends, streamlining group formation for various purposes.
These new features are being rolled out now globally.
