How to Quickly Remove Duplicate Photos on iPhone [VIDEO]

Apple’s latest support video on YouTube explains how you can use the iOS Photos app to identify duplicate photos and videos in your photo library.

Remove duplicates in Photos.

The Photos app identifies duplicate photos and videos in your photo library in the Duplicates collection. You can merge duplicate photos and videos to save space and clean up your library.

Here’s how to use it to remove any duplicates:

  1. Go to the Photos app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down to the Utilities section, then tap Duplicates.
  3. Tap Merge to combine a set of duplicates, then tap Merge [number] Items

If you don’t have any duplicate photos or videos in your library, the Duplicates collection doesn’t appear.

The following Apple video shows the above process in action.
