LEGO and PlayStation Debuts New Look at Horizon Adventures Set, Launching March 1

LEGO and PlayStation have debuted a new look at the upcoming LEGO Horizon Adventures set, based on the 2024 multi-platform game.
Officially dubbed the ‘Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth’, fans of LEGO Horizon Adventures will soon be able to recreate moments from the game in their own home. Launching on March 1, the latest LEGO set takes many of the core components found in LEGO Horizon Adventures, making for an unforgettable build for fans.
Here’s a new look at the set, compliments from Guerrilla Games, the studio behind the Horizons IP.
The Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth features characters Aloy and Verl, two of the central characters in the series. Aloy is paired nicely with her bow while Varl wields his spear. There are also Shell-Walker and Sawtooth enemies to build. Each one has poseable pieces, perfect for setting the stage for battle. Additionally, you’ll find a few environmental pieces to build. This includes some tall grass for Aloy and Varl to hide in.
“Working with LEGO bricks and trying to replicate all the machines in this universe forces you to think about abstraction, and abstraction is good for a designer because you start to think about the essence of fun. It’s about going back to the essentials,” Stephane Varrault, Design Director at Guerrilla says in a PlayStation Blog post.
LEGO Horizon Adventures launched on November 14 across PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game was developed by Studio Gobo in collaboration with Guerrilla Games and LEGO. It’s a reimagining of Horizon Zero Dawn with a LEGO spin on it. It’s largely catered towards a younger audience, serving as an entry point into the franchise.
The Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth set launch on March 1. In Canada, the set is available to preorder on Amazon and the LEGO website for $59.99.
