Nintendo Music App Adds Super Mario Bros 2 to its Library

Nintendo has added another classic soundtrack to the Nintendo Music app. Available now, those with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription can stream the Super Mario Bros 2 soundtrack from the app on iOS and Android.
Adding to the growing library of soundtracks on the Nintendo Music app, the company has added a long-beloved classic. The Super Mario Bros 2 soundtrack is rather short but is one of the more memorable soundtracks from the Super Mario franchise. In total, the soundtrack is comprised of 14 tracks. However, it’s only eight minutes long.
In October 2024, Nintendo launched the standalone music app. Those with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription can link their account to the app and listen to the available soundtracks for free. Since launch, Nintendo has been piecemealing additional soundtracks. With the addition of the Super Mario Bros 2 music, Nintendo Music now supports 40 soundtracks. Spanning all the music avaialble within the app, Nintendo Music now supports close to 95 hours of audio.
Recently, Nintendo added the StreePass Mii Plaza soundtrack to the app as well. This is the first soundtrack to stem from the 3DS platform on the app. Nintendo Music sports soundtracks spanning everything from NES to GameCube and even more contemporary soundtracks from Nintendo Switch games like Super Mario Odyssey.
Since its launch in October, Nintendo has been riding on a cadence of releasing at least four soundtracks on the app each month. There’s no telling where the company may go as we creep into March. However, Nintendo games are often praised for their music. There’s no shortage of great gaming soundtracks to pull from and add to the app.
Nintendo Music is a fantastic complimentary service to Nintendo Switch Online. An annual subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is available for $63.99 in Canada. Additionally, Nintendo offers a 12-month Family Membership, including up to eight accounts, for $99.99.
