Staples and Call2Recycle Expand ‘Recycle Your Batteries, Canada’ Program

Staples and Call2Recycle have announced an expansion to its ‘Recycle Your Batteries, Canada‘ for Staples Professional customers across the nation. With this, business customers can access the program and conveniently recycle their used batteries safely and responsibly.

The dual companies state that the program will enable Canadian businesses an easy-to-use way to recycle used batteries in an eco-friendly way. The Recycle Your Batteries, Canada program ensures that used batteries are processed to recover valuable materials for reuse in the manufacturing of new products. These batteries can range from smartphones, computers, and other pieces of technology.

Staples Professional is committed to delivering products, services, and solutions that not only meet the diverse needs of our customers but also protect our natural resources and our planet,” Chris Saniga, Chief B2B Officer at Staples Professional said. “We are proud to extend that commitment to support our customers’ environmental initiatives through Call2Recycle’s Recycle Your Batteries, Canada! program.”

Staples and Call2Recycle have worked together since 2004, striving to provide sustainable means to recycle used batteries. Throughout the long-running partnership, the two companies have recycled almost 2 million kg or used batteries.

Call2Recycle partners with nationwide businesses and retailers, battery manufacturers, and governments to collect and recycle as many batteries as possible. To find a drop off point, Canadian’s are encouraged to visit their nearest Staples Canada or other locations here.
