Google Launches Hotel Price Alerts in Canada: How to Sign Up

As summer approaches, Google has rolled out a new feature to help travellers save money on hotel bookings. The Hotel Price Tracking tool is now live globally and works just like Google Flights price tracking.
Once turned on, it sends email alerts when prices drop on hotels that match your search. Here’s how to use it:
- Go to google.com/hotels
- Search for a hotel with your preferred dates and location
- Look for the “track hotel prices” option under the filters
- Turn on the toggle switch
- You’ll get an email if the price goes down

Google also shared the top trending Canadian and international destinations for summer 2025. These are places that saw the biggest jump in search interest year-over-year, for trips departing from June 1 to August 31, 2025, from Canadian airports:
