How to Watch Today’s Nintendo Direct, Dedicated to Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games

Today, a Nintendo Direct is being live-streamed by the company. Offering a glimpse at upcoming Nintendo Switch games, Nintendo announced the surprise event earlier this week.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Nintendo of Canada states the Nintendo Direct will feature “around 30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch.” What makes this Nintendo Direct especially interesting is that it arrives less than a week prior to the big Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, scheduled for April 2.
“There will be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation,” Nintendo of Canada confirms in its post.
With the expectation now set that the company will unveil announcements and updates for Nintendo Switch-specific titles, there’s a good amount of framework here leading into the event. As the console generation of the Nintendo Switch begins to dwindle, there are still some highly anticipated games to release. For instance, Metroid Prime 4 and Pokémon Legends: Z-A are both slated to come out to the hardware this year.
The major thing to consider is that the Nintendo Switch 2 is confirmed to feature backwards compatibility with Nintendo Switch titles. Therefore, there’s a good chance most of what’s shown during today’s Nintendo Direct will be playable on the Nintendo Switch 2.
If you’re eager to tune in and watch live, the Nintendo Direct begins at 10 AM ET/7 AM PT. The live stream will be available on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel.
