Microsoft Adds New Copilot+ Experiences to AMD, Intel and Snapdragon X Devices

Microsoft has announced the introduction of new Copilot+ features and experiences across AMD, Intel and Snapdragon devices. This includes the rollout of Live Captions, Cocreator, Restyle Image and Image Creator to all Copilot+ PCs.
In a blog post, Microsoft reveals that new Copilot+ features will become available to laptops and desktops utilizing the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series chips, Intel Core Ultra 200V and Snapdragon X Series processors. Additionally, Microsoft will be expanding Voice Access capabilities from Snapdragon X Series-powered devices to other Copilot+ PCs later this year.
As Microsoft revealed, Live Captions are now available on AMD and Intel devices. This feature enables real-time translations in English for audio and video content played during virtual meetings, podcasts, or video playback. Alongside this expansion from Snapdragon X Series processors, Microsoft is adding Simplified Chinese support to the growing list of over 40 supported languages that can be translated into English. 27 languages can be translated into Simplified Chinese.
Cocreator is an AI-driven feature for the Paint app. Now available on AMD and Intel devices, users can utilize text-based prompts with freehand drawings to create “intricate designs, personalized visuals or professional-grade artwork.” Moreover, Restyle Image and Image Creator are two features of the Photos app, that support the use of written prompts to create personalized pieces of artwork. Users are also able to transform photos into artistic interpretations using sketches, modern art styles, etc.
Finally, with Voice Access, users are able to communicate with their PCs using better descriptive and flexible language. This feature is currently available on Snapdragon X Series devices. Microsoft states this is the first Voice Access update that leverages the NPU capabilities on Copilot+ PCs.
To ensure your device is updated accordingly, go to the ‘Settings’ menu and select ‘Windows Update’. Be sure to ‘Check for updates’ and install the non-security preview release from March. Microsoft Paint and Photos will also have to be updated.
