Uber also shares what Canadians can do if they forget an item in an Uber. Using the following steps, you can contact your driver and request the item be brought to you. Uber does have a policy of charging a $20 fee that goes directly to the driver to pay for the inconvenience of returning the item.

To submit a request, tap ‘Your Trips’ in the app and select the trip in which you lost an item. Navigate to ‘Find lost item’ and ‘Contact driver about a lost item’. Next, you’ll be instructed to enter a phone number in which you’ll be contacted (personal number or a friend’s).

Your phone will then be contacted to your driver’s mobile number. The driver may then pick up and begin coordinating a drop off for the item. If the driver doesn’t pick up, you may leave a voicemail describing the item and contact information.
