How to Get Free Apple Fitness+ Through Strava

Sports tracking app Strava and Apple are teaming up to give users a free trial of Apple Fitness+.
If you’re a Strava paid subscriber using iOS, you can redeem 3 free months of Apple Fitness+ in Canada (it’s also available in the U.S., the U.K., Australia, France, Brazil, Spain, Germany, and Italy).
A premium Strava subscription starts from $11.99 CAD/month or $79.99 CAD per year, while there are also family plans ($139.99 annually for up to four members) and a student plan ($39.99/year). What do you get? Essentially more performance metrics, segment leaderboards and more. The company’s subscription pricing increased last year; previously it was at $7.99/month and $59.99 per year.
If you’re not a paying Strava subscriber, you can still get 2 free months in Canada (also eligible are the U.S., the U.K., and Australia for now).
Here’s how to redeem the offer:
If you’re a Strava subscriber, open the Strava app on your iPhone. Tap the Settings icon from the You tab. Then tap Your Strava Subscription. In the Subscription Overview, find the Fitness+ Apple offer and follow the steps to claim your 3-month free trial.

If you’re a free Strava user, you can still get a two-month free trial. Open the Strava app, go to the You tab, tap Settings, and look for the Fitness+ Offer to redeem it. The fine print says the offer expires on January 31, 2026 and is valid only for Fitness+ in Canada.
If you’re already an active Apple Fitness+ subscriber, you won’t be eligible for the free trial, unfortunately.
Once you have Fitness+, you can use it on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Apple Watch. You can also sync your Apple Fitness+ workouts directly to Strava through the Apple Health integration, as long as your devices are updated to iOS 18.2 and watchOS 11.2 or higher. If not, you can still manually import workouts from your Strava settings under Manage Apps > Devices > Health.
Your synced activities will show up on Strava with details like class name, workout type, trainer, music genre, pace, and distance if available. So your friends will see who you did your workouts with from the Fitness+ trainer team.
Apple Fitness+ costs $12.99 per month, so essentially you can save $26 or $39 on Fitness+.
