Apple’s First Foldable iPhone Said to Feature Crease-Free Display
Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone, expected to debut in 2026, will feature a crease-free display and premium design, setting new industry standards, MacRumors is reporting.

A standout feature of the first foldable iPhone is expecyed to be its innovative display, developed in collaboration with Samsung. Unlike existing foldable devices that suffer from visible screen creases, Apple’s model is reported to utilize a custom in-cell touch OLED panel.
This technology integrates the touch sensor directly into the display, reducing thickness by approximately 19% compared to current Galaxy Z Fold components. The result is a lighter, more rigid display structure that maintains Apple’s stringent standards for thinness, power efficiency, and brightness levels.
The foldable iPhone is rumored to feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch outer display, both designed to offer unprecedented aspect ratios. The device’s book-style design allows it to unfold like an iPad, providing a tablet-like experience in a smartphone form factor.
In terms of construction, the foldable iPhone is rumored to boast a titanium alloy frame with a stainless steel and titanium hinge mechanism. This combination not only ensures durability but also contributes to the device’s sleek profile, measuring just 4.5mm when unfolded and 9-9.5mm when folded.
To accommodate this slim design, Apple may replace its traditional Face ID with a side-mounted Touch ID sensor integrated into the power button.

Camera-wise, the device is expected to include a dual-lens rear system, along with front-facing cameras on both the main and cover displays. Analysts predict that Apple’s foldable iPhone will be the company’s most expensive smartphone to date.
Despite the premium price tag, industry experts believe that the device’s advanced features and Apple’s brand reputation will drive strong consumer demand.
