Prime Video Extends MrBeast’s Hit Competition Show ‘Beast Games’
Prime Video has confirmed that Beast Games, the hit reality competition series hosted by YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson), the world’s most popular channel, will return for two more seasons.
The show made waves when it launched on December 19, 2024, with 1,000 contestants competing for a $10 million US prize. In less than a month, Beast Games became Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted show, pulling in 50 million viewers across more than 240 countries and territories.
The set for Beast Games was built at Downsview Park Studios in Toronto, Ontario. This location, known as “Beast City,” featured a custom-built miniature town complete with houses, parks, and a basketball court. The set was surrounded by a red wall and designated a no-fly zone during filming to ensure secrecy and safety for the contestants
Amazon shared the news during its Upfronts presentation last night in New York. Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said, “MrBeast delivered the biggest reality competition ever for our customers. We can’t wait to see what wild challenges he has next.”
Jeff Housenbold, CEO of MrBeast Industries, called the fan response “beyond expectations” and said the team is ready to “raise the bar even higher” in the next chapters.
The show’s creative team includes co-creators Sean Klitzner, Tyler Conklin, and Mack Hopkins, with Conklin returning as series director.
