YouTube Premium Lite Expands to Canada with Cheaper Price

YouTube launched a cheaper ad-free Premium Lite plan back in early March for those in the United States, and this week, Google announced this offering is now rolling out in Canada and other expansion countries.
On Monday, Google announced in an update on its forums, “We’re happy to share that we’re expanding Premium Lite to viewers in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Canada and Great Britain next! We’re slowly rolling this out over the next couple days, so hold tight.”
YouTube says to visit youtube.com/premiumlite to see if the subscription is available in your area. Visiting the link shows Premium Lite is still awaiting its rollout in Canada.
Premium Lite is priced at $7.99 US per month (Premium is $13.99 US), offering “most videos ad-free” in gaming, fashion, beauty, news and more. You do not get music and music videos ad-free, nor downloads and background play, as that requires Premium at $12.99 CAD per month. There is no 3-month trial with Premium Lite, unlike Premium. Google’s website says there are 125 million paying Premium members.
If you don’t want to pay for ads on YouTube, some third-party browsers still block ads from showing (such as Brave).
YouTube Premium Lite started as a pilot in Thailand, Germany, and Australia, before launching this spring in the US, but now it’s expanding to Canada. Let us know if you’re seeing Premium Lite as available or not.

I (and probably many users) have a very hostile relationship with YouTube where (unlike rest of Google services) there just aren’t any alternatives available so I reluctantly have it on my Apple TV and don’t ever sign in and try to minimize tracking/targeting. I would happily pay Google for YouTube but that will only stop showing me ads, they will still continue to harvest my data. In fact, then I would be forced to sign into YouTube. They will collect my watching habits, interests, and more things that I can’t even imagine for all the years that I keep paying and will use that to build profile on me and sell ads to target me across the non-YouTube web.
Don't be so paranoid, you can delete/clear/download the data Google have on you in settings –> privacy and data.
you can also just have a email specifically for YouTube if that concerned.
He's better off just leaving the internet for good
News flash, that’s every website you’ve ever used, every store you’ve been to with a loyalty plan. Even your credit card company is keeping track of your habits.
Then why are you here, if you are this paranoid you need to unplug the router throw out the phone and never come back to the internet or grow up and stop being so feeble
Awwwwwww the woke don't like I'm calling out the bhenchods
Maybe YouTube should stop being bhenchod Hindians and do their jobs as the many PHUB BOTS and bots are part of the problem
