How to Watch WWDC 2025 and What to Expect

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is being held today. The week-long conference is being held at Apple Park in California, but kicks off with a live-streamed keynote on June 9.
WWDC typically offers a chance to preview Apple’s upcoming software for its many devices, including the new version of iOS, iPadOS, macOS and watchOS. Most recently, WWDC has also become home to Apple Intelligence reveals. However, Apple also takes time to discuss the odd hardware announcement or two as well.
This year, WWDC will be running from June 9 to June 13. More than 1,000 developers will be in attendance as Apple offers over 100 sessions for developers to discover what the upcoming software updates offer. As part of the schedule, Apple will be offering developers the chance to stream sessions and access labs through the Apple Developer app and website.
As far as what to expect, it’s been reported that Apple will reveal that its naming convention for new software is changing. Rather than continue to use a standard numerical convention, Apple is believed to be basing the new version on the year. As such, we may be looking at seeing iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, etc., this year.
It’s also believed that Apple Intelligence updates may be minor as the AI toolset could be taking the backseat. However, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we may see updates for live translations for text and calls. Genmoji may also receive an upgrade, offering users the chance to blend two emojis into one.
WWDC 2025’s keynote starts at 1 pm ET/10 am PT. To watch, keep an eye out on the official website and Apple’s YouTube channel. We’ll also have full coverage of announcements right here, so be sure to stay tuned.
