macOS 26 Tahoe Compatibility: Full List of Supported Macs
Apple today introduced macOS 26, called “Tahoe” by its crack marketing team during its WWDC 2025 keynote.
The update features a new Liquid Glass design, better search with Spotlight, a dedicated Games app, and AI tools like Live Translation and Genmoji.
But not every Mac will get the update—and this year, several older Intel models are being dropped, as expected.

Macs That No Longer Get Updates:
The following models supported macOS 15 Sequoia but have now been dropped in macOS 26:
- MacBook Air (Intel, 2020)
- MacBook Pro (2018–2019 Intel)
- iMac (2019 and earlier)
- iMac Pro (2017)
- Mac mini (2018)
This is likely the last version of macOS to support any Intel Macs.
Apple Silicon Macs get all the new features, including Apple Intelligence tools and the full Liquid Glass design. Intel Macs that still qualify won’t get the full AI experience, but can still install the core OS update.
Did your precious Mac make the cut for macOS 26? Or will you be upgrading?

The worst, buggiest OS I can find. After a month of use, I am downgrading to previous OS. OMG what a pain.
