Which iPhones Support iOS 26? Apple Just Revealed the List

Apple has officially announced which iPhones will support iOS 26 at WWDC—and several older models didn’t make the cut.

If you’re wondering whether your device will be able to run the latest update and the ‘Liquid Glass’ design, and features like Apple Intelligence, spatial tools, and redesigned widgets, here’s the full breakdown.

iPhones That Support iOS 26

  • iPhone 16 series (16e, 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max)
  • iPhone 15 series (15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max)
  • iPhone 14 series (14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max)
  • iPhone 13 series (13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max)
  • iPhone 12 series (12, 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max)
  • iPhone 11 series (11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max)
  • iPhone SE (2nd gen and later)

iPhones That Lost Support vs. iOS 18

  • iPhone XR
  • iPhone XS, XS Max
  • iPhone X
  • iPhone 8, 8 Plus
  • iPhone SE (1st gen)

Apple is moving forward with AI-powered features like Apple Intelligence, which require newer hardware (iPhone 15 Pro or newer). Devices with the A11 and A12 chips were dropped, making the A13 Bionic the new minimum for iOS 26.

If your iPhone isn’t on the list, you’ll still get basic security patches for now—but for the full iOS 26 experience, including AI features, an upgrade will be required.

Time to switch to Android. My iPhone is leaking considerable amount of data even when cellular is disabled. You can see if you're affected too by going into Settings>Cellular, scroll down to Enable Cellular Usage Statistics>System Services. Lots of nasty's using up your cellular data especially "General" which Apple isn't saying what it is for.

No reason to expect Android will be any safer
