Xbox Confirms Attendance at Gamescom 2025

Xbox has confirmed its attendance at Gamescom 2025. The publisher and hardware manufacturer will be heading to Germany for one of the largest annual gaming conferences, running from August 20 to August 24.

On X (formerly Twitter), Xbox confirms that it will “see you @gamescom”. Unfortunately, the company didn’t elaborate further on its involvement at the show. However, given what we know about Xbox’s calendar year after the Xbox Games Showcase earlier this month, Xbox may be leveraging the show to highlight its fall slate of games.

Rounding out the second half of the year, Xbox will be publishing The Outer Worlds 2 on October 24, developed by Obsidian Entertainment. As it stands, the sci-fi RPG will be the marquee title for Xbox this fall. However, Obsidian Entertainment will have just launched Grounded 2, a direct sequel to the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids-inspired survival game, in Early Access on July 29. This will be a great opportunity to touch base on both games this summer.

Outside of Obsidian Entertainment’s efforts, Xbox is also publishing Gears of War: Reloaded, the remaster of the original game in the franchise. With 4K textures, 60 FPS in Campaign,  and 120 FPS support in multiplayer modes. This will also mark the first time the series arrives on PlayStation when it launches on August 26th.

Other notable fall titles include Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Keeper. Xbox is also working with Team Ninja and PlatinumGames to bring Ninja Gaiden 4 to Xbox on October 21. Of course, there’s bound to be a couple of other surprises along the way.

Gamescom 2025 may also be Xbox’s place to reveal pricing and release information for the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X gaming handhelds. The two new devices were announced during the Xbox Games Showcase. Developed in partnership with Asus, the handhelds offer a 7-inch 1080p display with up to 120Hz support and the use of AMD’s Ryzen Z2 A chipset and AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processors.

In the lead up to Gamescom 2025, taking place in Cologne, Germany, we expect to hear more from Xbox and other attendees.
